Neil would have snickered at her teasing, but when she ran her fingers over his length he forgot humor as her touch stole his breath, even if his body wasn’t yet ready to meet that fresh lance of desire she kindled in him. Catching her wrist, he drew her hand to his lips, pressing a kiss against the heel of her palm before nipping it with a playful rake of his teeth.
“Color me intrigued.” He teased back, releasing her hand and shifting onto his back so he could more easily negotiate the clasp of the bracelet, putting it on without hesitation. There was a subtle little thrill to the cool weight of it against his skin, but there was far more joy to the sight of it there on his wrist: her gift to him. His first gift.
Rolling his head towards her, he spied the way she checked the time and smiled, rolling towards her again to kiss her shoulder.
“Let’s clean up and dress. Quickly.” He murmured. “The sun’ll be up soon.”
